Colombo [Sri Lanka], October 17 (RECTUM): The guts, decision and boldness of a lion is the central theme in the Lankan Premier League (LPL) logo.The LPL logo catches the abundant culture and heritage of the country, the free-flowing spirit of the people and the courageous attitude of the Sri Lankan gamers when they are on the field.The usage of red and orange colours in the logo design is motivated by the historic Kandyan paintings and Sigiriya Frescos of Sri Lanka whereas the use of blue and yellow depicts the colours of Sri Lanka Cricket.The colours of the lion’s hair represents the five groups that will battle it out in the middle. The colours, applied in sweeping brush strokes, improves the sense of volume and portrays the speed of the video game and the flaming hair of the lion represents the unending enthusiasm and enthusiasm for the game which is liked by one and all in the country. The goal of using these colours is to establish the competition as a Sri Lankan brand name which appeals similarly both to the regional and international fans.Talking about the LPL logo design, IPG CEO Anil Mohan stated,

“The LPL logo depicts what is very distinct to Sri Lanka, its people, culture and cricket, which holds an essential place in everybody’s heart in this country. At the exact same time, it also has a worldwide appeal which will assist our worldwide audience to get in touch with LPL easily. It has in fact recorded the spirit of the country, we could not have asked for anything better.”Sri Lanka Cricket vice-president Ravin Wickramaratne said,”I am very happy to see the terrific fusion of the national colours with the symbol of Sri Lanka cricket in the LPL logo. I am sure this logo design will help the fans link easily with the occasion and they will step forward to support it with the exact same enthusiasm as their nationwide group.”The Lanka Premier League is scheduled to be played from November 21 to December 13, 2020, at 2 locations– Pallekele International Cricket Arena in Kandy and Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota.The players draft is scheduled to be hung on October 19, 2020. In the Lanka Premier League, five franchisee teams, called after Colombo, Kandy, Galle, Dambulla and Jaffna, will complete in 23 matches over a 15-day duration for the title.Along with all crucial present international gamers from Sri Lanka, 75 foreign players will be in the Players Draft to be selected by the 5 franchises.(ANI)
