Lorenzo’s Locks: The 3 best bets you should consider for NFL Week 11

SportsPulse: Lorenzo was one Nick Chubb away from a perfect weekend of bets. He’s back with his three best bets for Week 11 in the NFL.

The New Orleans Saints are expected to start Taysom Hill at quarterback this week in place of the injured Drew Brees, according to multiple reports.

ESPN and NFL Network reported Friday that Saints coach Sean Payton is giving the starting job to the 30-year-old over Jameis Winston, who relieved Brees last Sunday after the future Hall of Famer exited at halftime with multiple fractured ribs and a partially collapsed lung. Both reports said Hill had received the bulk of practice reps with the other starters during the week.

Hill lines up at tight end and in the wildcat while also contributing on special teams. He’s completed 4 of 5 pass attempts this season with 186 rushing yards on 34 carries and a touchdown, with another score and through the air and 74 receiving yards on six receptions.

Brees will miss at least three weeks after being placed on the injured list Friday, giving Payton and Saints brass an extended look at Hill — who they thought of highly enough to give a two-year, $18-million contract extension this past offseason.

That didn’t stop them from pursuing Winston, the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback and No. 1 overall pick who signed a one-year deal with the team during the winter. He went 6-for-10 with 63 yards against the 49ers last Sunday.
